DO YOU REQUIRE STUDENTS TO WEAR UNIFORMS?
Yes, we do require that students wear uniforms. They are easily purchased from Target, Sears, Wal-Mart, Levine's and many other locations.
Boys: twill khaki or navy pants or knee length shorts, short or long sleeved pique polo shirt with knit collar (white, navy, light blue, hunter green, red),
Girls: Short or long sleeved Polo Shirt (same colors as above), Short or long sleeved polo with collar (same colors as above), "Peter Pan" Blouse (white only) to be worn under jumpers only, V-neck pleated jumper (khaki or navy), Three tabbed pleated skort (khaki or navy), knee length shorts (khaki or navy), twill pants (khaki or navy), pleated skirt (khaki or navy), Jersey Knit Crew Neck Cardigan Sweater (Navy or white)
*Shoes: Tennis Shoes (no lights or wheels in any shoes), Sandals: Closed toe only, NO Flip flops, etc., NO boots
* We also offer a school T-shirt, sweatshirt and hoodie that can be worn everyday as well as a Field Trip T-shirt. All students are required to purchase a Field Trip Tshirt for our school field trips.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS TO ENROLL MY CHILD IN RCA?
TUITION:
K-1 and K-2 Classes (Regular Preschool Hours, 8:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday)-
$108.75 per week ($435.00 a month, even on months with more than 4 weeks)
K-1 and K-2 Classes (Extended Preschool Hours, 6:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday)-
$125.00 per week ($500.00 a month, even on months with more than 4 weeks)- Morning care and Afterschool Care provided by RCA staff.
K-1 and K-2 Classes (Half Day Preschool Hours, 8:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday)-
$94.38 per week ($377.50 a month, even on months with more than 4 weeks)
FEES:
Curriculum Fee: $125.00 (Non-Refundable; payable July 1st) https://online.factsmgt.com/Tmg/public/AgreementSignup.aspx?t=3G2PK There are several options available for payment of fees and tuition at Rowlett Christian Academy Preschool. · Option #1 is to pay the tuition in full at the time of enrollment (before July 1st) Tuition Payments are deducted using the FACTS Online Payment Plan. You can choose to have your payments deducted on the 5th, the 20th or both dates. There is a $25.00 late fee and a $25.00 returned for insufficient funds fee thru RCA. Registration Fee: $50.00 (Non-Refundable; Payable upon student registration)
School Supply Fee: $50.00 (Non-Refundable; Payable July 15th)
FACTS On-Line Payment Set-Up: $43.00 (Non-Refundable; Due BEFORE August 1, 2011)- All students are required to sign up with FACTS. This makes tutition payments easy through on-line Credit/Electronic Check payments. Click on the link below and follow the cues to set up your account with FACTS and Rowlett Christian Academy Preschool:
Option #2 is payment by semester (July 1st and January 1st)
Option #3 is a payment plan set up on 10 payments beginning August 1st and ending May 1st (September 1st and ending June 1st for students signing up after August 10th)
Should a student withdraw after the 10th of any month, the tuition for that month is non-refundable.
Other fees, such as field trips, school tshirts, etc...., but will billed to the parents from the school office.
EXTENDED CARE:
Extended Care (Before and After School Care) is also available for Kindergarten thru 8th grade students who attend Advantage Academy Rowlett. All students are also required to sign up thru FACTS to pay for their Extended Care. Please click on the link and follow the cues to set up your account with FACTS and RCA.
Before Care: 6:30 to 7:30 am.
After Care: 3:15 - 6:00 pm.
Extended Care Rates Per Child:
Before AND After Care: $200.00 per month ($350.00 for 2 or more siblings)
Before Care Only: $125.00 per month ($200.00 for 2 or more siblings)
After Care Only: $175.00 per month ($300.00 for 2 or more siblings)
Late fees: $1.00 per minute after 6:00 pm.
Students will be charged a flat rate per month, regardless of days missed from absence or holidays.
Drop In Rates:
Before Care: $8.00 per day or $30.00 per week. If a students shows up before 7:30 they will be charged the Drop In Rate.
After Care: $15.00 per day or $50.00 per week. If a students comes to After Care for any time, they will be charged the Drop In Rate
Before and After Care: $20.00 per day or $75.00 per week
Schedule for After Care:
3:15 to 4:15 Homework/Playtime 4:15 to 4:30 Snack time
4:30 to 6:00 Homework/Playtime (All student will work on homework until it's completed.)
On pretty days students will go to the playground.
Extended Care follows the schedule of Advantage Academy Rowlett and Rowlett Christian Academy. There will be no After Care for Early Dismissal Days, Teacher In-Service Days or Holidays for the 2011-2012 school year- 9/6, 10/10, 10/28, 11/18, 11/21-25, 12/16, 12/19-1/2, 1/16, 1/16, 1/20, *2/20, 3/12-16, 3/30, *4/6, 5/28, 5/30. * indicates bad weather make up days. If not needed it is a student holiday.
Early Dismissal for Rowlett Christian Academy Preschool is 12:00 noon.
Early Dismissal for Advantage Academy Rowlett is 12:30 pm
Inclement weather closing announced on NBC 5 as Advantage Academy Rowlett or ABC 8 as Rowlett Christian Academy Preschool.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ENROLL MY CHILD AT RCA?
1. Every student must fill out an application and turn it into the school office with the $50.00 Registration Fee. A copy of their birth certificate, social security card and shot records must be on file in the school office by August 1st. If student is enrolled after August 1st, these must be turned in before they can begin school. You can receive an application by mail or email by contacting Mrs. Simpson at t.simpson@hotmail.com.
2. Once the application and registration fee have been turned in, parents need to sign up with FACTS for a payment plan. Bills and Payments will no longer be made thru the school office - everyone must pay thru FACTS. A link to FACTS may be found on this page under Tuition.
3. We ask that both parents and child attend the Orientation on August 18th at 7:00 in the Church Sanctuary. You will be given importation information regarding the upcoming school year and meet your child's teacher and see your child's classroom.
4. If an individual will be accompanying the child on a field trip during the year, each person must fill out a background check and turn it into the school office. This is for the safety of our children - their safety comes FIRST!
5. Each teacher will have other documents that will need to be filled out and returned to them. You will receive these on Orientation Night and return them on the first day of school.
6. Also on Orientation Night you will be given an opportunity to order school tshirts. These will only be offered for the first month of school so please place your order by the deadline.
Every day tshirts - $10.00 (optional) Field Trip tshirts - $10.00 Every student must have one
Blue Sweatshirts - $20.00 (optional) Gray Hoodies - $20.00 (optional)

ARE THERE OTHER GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING RCA PRESCHOOL?
YES, as with every other school, there are policies that we enact and expect our parents and families to uphold. Parents must sign the "Policies and Procedures" agreement before their child can attend our school.
These are general guidelines for things such as lunch and snack-time details, our sickness policies, Pick up and drop off guidelines, and other considerations. WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR MY CHILD'S SCHOOL SUPPLIES?
At RCA Preschool, we make it easy on our parents by charging a flat school supply fee and purchasing supplies for all our students ourselves and therefore saving you the trouble!
Families are only required to provide:
*Please remember that items (backpacks, etc. should be PLAIN- colors and designs are allowed, but items with cartoon characters, logos, etc. will be sent home and a replacement will be required.)
We are able to buy in bulk and ensure that each student has the same, quality supplies. We buy brand-name, teacher "approved" materials.
Your $50.00 supply fee covers:
